Item Description

An extremely rich and striking pyromorphite from the famous Les Farges Mine. Lustrous, translucent, bi-colored orange and olive-green hexagonal prisms are dramatically festooned on both sides and crest of the small cabinet masssive barite matrix wedge. The multitude of prisms reach 6 mm. The bit of noted brusing is certainly acceptable in the context of this incredibly rich specimen. One of the world's great pyromorphite localities, Les Farges is famed for crystal diversity, color and quality and this is an unusually rich example of this varietal. Self-collected by Paul Zerfass # 1517. Classic Les Farges pyromorphite.
