Item Description
Classic, lustrous, two-toned pyromorphite prisms are festooned on all sides of this very fine, large, rich and sculptural FLOATER from this famed locale. The olive-green prisms, to 8 mm, have the highly desirable mustard-yellow tips. The hefty underyling matrix is oxide-coated baryte. Very nearly pristine, with only three small spots of periphery wear, not attachment points, on the ends. An extremely fine, rich and aesthetic specimen from Les Farges, famed for pyromorphite diversity and closed since 1981. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased in 1979, while the mine was still operating. Valued at $1000-1250 for richness, varietal and size.
