Pyromorphite on Baryte

Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, tapered pyromorphite prisms densely cover the sculptural oxide-coated baryte matrix on this showy combination piece. The two-toned crystals have grass-green bodies with mustard-brown terminations. Some of the terminations are hoppered. The bit of noted periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction to this excellent combination. The Daoping Mine of China has produced a dizzying array of colorful pyromorphites and this is a fine example.
