Two generations of pyromorphite crystals on the RARE sculptural matrix on this showy small cabinet from the famous 1981 finds at the renowned Bunker Hill Mine. Clusters of lustrous, juicy honey-yellow hexagonal barrels, to 7 mm, are attractively set on the earlier generation of small pyros. These crystals rest on a RARE solid matrix of layered pyromorphite. The noted scattered bruising to the clusters is certainly only a modest detraction. Classic color and crystal form on rare layered pyromorphite matrix. This world-class pyromorphite mine has produced an amazing wide variety of colors, crystal forms and styles and this is a rich, RARE and excellent example of the varietal. Hefty lead ore for the size at 203 grams mass. Ex Dick Hauck Collection and purchased in 1982.
