Item Description

A striking, sculptural , 360-degree specimen of solid pyromorphite from the well-known Rosenberg Mine of the Bad Ems District. Classic juicy wet-look typical artistic stacked clusters of hexagonal light brown crystals compose most of the front of the piece. The surreal vuggy back hosts sheet-like forms of intergrown prisms. Both sides have a different form and crystal composition, adding even more character. Every turn presents a distinctively different perspective to this extremely rich and unusual looking small cabinet from this famous mine, that closed in 1963. Previously in the W.L. Beer Collection. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. Valued $1250
