Item Description
Classic and rich old-time small cabinet pyromorphite from the historic Berezovsk gold deposit discovered in 1745. Oil-green, lustrous, textbook hexagonal prisms and tapered spindles, to 1.3 cm, are dramatically and aesthetically clustered on the two-level, contrasting oxide-coated, metamorphic matrix. See the 2016 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 47, No. 4. Comes with an old 1892-1899 C.F. Pech label, a well-known Berlin, Germany mineral dealer in the late 19th century. Ex John Dagenais Collection, a well-known Canadian collector. He passed away in 2022. A very fine and rich, old-time pyromorphite from the famous locale.
