Item Description
An excellent, aesthetic and uncommon pyromorphite varietal from this historic locale and the Dr. Ed David Collection. This shapely piece has classic oil-green color, with uncommon but desirable club-shaped crystals, due to a secondary overgrowth of smaller prisms. The large "club" on this piece is an impressive 2.4 cm. Lead mining effectively ceased in Roughton Gill in 1876, so this is a real old-timer. Complete all-around, the piece has many possible display views. Yes, some broken crystals are noted, but have minimal impact to the importance of this fine miniature. Valued at $1250 and worth it.
