Item Description

An adorable pair of thumbnail pyromorphites from the Yangshuo Mine. This mine is on the other side of the mountain and is connected with the famous Daoping Mine. They mined the same ore bodies. Desirable, juicy, two-toned apple-green, parallel-growth crystals with hoppered terminations compose this sculptural and rich pair. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7661 and 7662 and acquired in 2001 or 2002, when these came out. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). An excellent two-piece deal of desirable classic style and color Chinese pyromorphite thumbnails.
