Item Description
A cute, sculptural and rich pyromorphite small cabinet from the early 2000s finds at the famous Daoping Mine. Juicy, translucent, rich apple-green prisms, to 8 mm, are aesthetically festooned on the nearly solid pyromorphite crust. I really like the cockscomb of crystals at the top of the piece, which add much pizzazz. A choice and excellent example of this varietal from the Kay Robertson Collection # 13022. The Yangshuo Mine is part of the same mine, but the entrance is on the other side of the mountain from Daoping. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
