Item Description
Nice reference location example of Pyromorphite from the very old Dry Gill mine in England. The apple-green crystals, which are up to 3 mm, have hints of gemminess, and the nicely-formed, sharp, hexagonal barrels completely fill the pocket that spans the matrix. The Pyros even exhibit a soft-orange fluorescence (not sure why, but that is unusual). Dry Gill produced little commercially, and is primarily known for its specimens. From the noted historic classics collection of Richard 'Dick' Hauck of New Jersey.
