There are truly only a few places in the world that have produced excellent green Pyromorphites with any consistency over the years. In the modern age of mineral colleting, the finest contemporary green specimens are those from the Daoping Mine in China. The best of these specimens are simply as good as any other Pyromorphites from virtually any world locality. A source in China has told us that the area of the Daoping Mine that produced these pieces is finished and we may never see these superb Pyromorphites again unless a new area is opened up. This thumbnail sized piece features excellent quality, very sharp, lustrous, well-formed, prismatic hexagonal crystals of Pyromorphite with a lovely apple green hue. The largest crystal measures 6 mm. If you flip the piece over, you'll see there is a hollow "bubble"-shaped cavity underneath the crystals, presumably whatever formed that opening dissolved away.
