Item Description
A very aesthetic and rich specimen from recent finds at the famous Daoping Mine of China. Two separate mounds of lustrous, hoppered, apple-green pyromorphite prisms rest on a thin crust of tiny pyromorphite crystals. The crystals reach 7-8 mm. This excelllent piece is solid pyromorphite, as the back of the specimen consists of two, separate, hollow crusts. Very nearly pristine, the couple of broken crystals are barely notieable and are certainly not a detraction. This is an outstanding and very showy example from this locale, where these pyromorphites have become contemporary classics. They compare very favorably with Bunker Hill and Les Farges specimens. Valued at $1250
