Item Description
This piece is unusual both for the dark evergreen color and for the association with quartz. On a thin crust of massive, white quartz is a druse of colorless quartz crystals, to 3 mm across, upon which are emplaced hundreds of lustrous and slightly translucent, richly evergreen-colored pyromorphite crystals to 7 mm across. The piece has incredible color saturation for this style - and very dense coverage you normally do not see survive in such good condition on such a large plate. The pyro crystals, many of which are doubly terminated, all have a lighter green termination that accents the rich central core color. This large plate is a dramatic display piece and can be shown both horizontally or vertically. Mined in 2007. Valued $2000-2500
