China has been one of the most productive countries for new material over the last 10 years. The quantity and quality of the finds in China have been remarkable. The finest contemporary green Pyromorphites on the market right now are those from the Daoping mine in China. I was told that the section of the mine that produced these pieces is now closed and will never again produce these superb Pyromorphites. This specimen is a nice miniature consisting of sharp, attractive green color, hoppered crystals on oxidized matrix. There is a bit of roughness on the back, but overall, still a good representative piece from this contemporary classic locality. Valued at $800.
