Item Description

The Bunker Hill mine is a famous lead-zinc-silver mine that produced some of the finest Pyromorphite specimens from the Western Hemisphere. The mine operated for a century (closing forever in 1988), and fine quality specimens such as this one are difficult to obtain on the market, especially 30 years after it came out of the ground. A beautiful group of lustrous, chartreuse-green hexagonal crystals of Pyromorphite on matrix create this beautiful specimen. Great shape all the way around, and the largest crystal measures 3 mm. Classic material from Idaho, you don't see it around anymore, and the best pieces from Bunker Hill are among the best Pyromorphites in the world. From the collection of Harold Urish.
