Item Description

A classic Pyromorphite from the famous Chaillac Mine in France. These specimens are quite similar to the classic pieces from Les Farges, and this piece is no exception. It features sharp, lustrous, beautiful green colored hexagonal prisms of Pyromorphite measuring up to 3 mm on host rock matrix. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6635). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
