Item Description

Simply put, Les Farges is one of the premier localities in the world for Pyromorphite. I have seen some of the most intense green hues for the species from this mine, and they are among the most classic specimens from not only France, but perhaps all of Europe. The lustrous, sharp, hexagonal crystals on this specimen show greenish-brown prisms with bright yellow terminations measuring up to 6 mm on matrix. For the size, quality and color of the piece it is a worthwhile display specimen of this classic European material. From the Al McGuinness Collection.
