Item Description
These Pyromorphites are notably hard to find on the market, as the mine stopped operating around 1880 according to the entry on mindat.org. They are beautiful examples, even though the crystals are fairly small, as the color is a rich green hue. This small cabinet specimen is covered with dozens if not hundreds of little hexagonal crystals that have formed little "flower"-like aggregates on both sides of the underlying sandstone matrix. We've photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality.
