Item Description
An important, rich and surprisingly attractive English pyromorphite display specimen showing lustrous yellow-green prismatic crystals and crystal "sprays" aesthetically spread around three sides of the beautifully contrasting sculptural white quartz and dark orange-brown colored limonite matrix. Largest crystal: 1.3 cm. English pyromorphites are becoming exceedingly difficult to obtain these days...and have been for over 100 years now! Pyromorphites from the smaller Mexico Mine are rarer compared to those from the nearby renowned Roughton Gill Mine (same vein systems). Ex. Richard A. Kosnar Collection. Valued at $1750.
