Item Description

Mustard-yellow tipped pyromorphite barrels are some of the most striking, unusual and desirable varietals from the famed Les Farges Mine. This world-class pyromorphite locale produced a dizzying variety of excellent specimens prior to its closing in 1981. Lustrous, wet-look, parallel-growth, olive-brown barrels to 1.5 cm totally cover this fabulous crystal hedgehog perched on a barite stalk. All of the multitude of olive-brown barrels have the desirable mustard-yellow tips and some are hoppered. For all of the incredible density, there are few broken crystals. This outstanding piece has multiple fine displays views! Ex Howard Belsky Collection and valued at $1250.
