Classic and showy small cabinet combination from the two old well-known 1970s excavations at this famous small copper-lead-zinc prospect - Brown's Prospect at Rum Jungle. The very sculptural mounded specimen of atypical lustrous, velvet malachite botryoids is richly peppered with spherical aggregates of lustrous, translucent, honey-brown rounded pyromorphite crystals. A 1.0 cm tabular gray cerussite crystal is a typical and fine accessory. See the 1980 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 11. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011.The deposit was commercially mined starting in 2009. A rich and aesthetic old combination from the well-known locale.
