Juicy rich apple-green color on these lustrous, translucent hexagonal pyromorphite prisms on this very rich and impressive small cabinet from the early 2000s finds at the famed Daoping Mine. The prisms reach 1.2 cm and the barrels cover three sides of the blocky matrix. Essentially pristine for all of the crystal density. A world-class pyromorphite locale, Daoping is famed for diversity of colors, crystal habits and forms and this is an excellent and very rich example of this highly desired juicy apple-green varietal. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. Valued at $2000. This was from the earlier finds here, not the more modern. At the time they came out, we called them "Les Farges" style because they looked so much like the old French material form the 1970s - but prettier. This is a superb example in the size and price range!
