Item Description
Sculptural and cute specimen of lustrous "wet-looking" crystals of bright apple-green Pyromorphite on contrasting white Calcite. The relatively small, up to 4mm, short prismatic Pyromorphite crystals provide a lot of visual "bling" to the aesthetics of the piece. The three dimensionality of the specimen is further enhanced by the hidden crystal lined tunnel right through the lower center. An appealing and artistic example of the legendary Pyromorphite from the Yangshuo Mine. Ex. Jack Halpern Collection No. 4265. He purchased this from us in one of his last specimen acquisition deals, in 2019. This came out of the lead minerals collection of Bob Reynolds, former curator of the San Bernardino Museum. It would date, by color and style, to the early production of Daoping in 2002-2007. Valued $2500-5000.
