Item Description
Two generations of lustrous, yellow-brown pyromorphite crystals are festooned on the front of this sculptural two-sided crust from the renowned Bunker Hill Mine. The striking large compound crystals at the top, to 8 mm, closely resemble the famous barrel-shaped Campylite Mimetite specimens from the renowned historic Dry Gill Mine of Cumbria, England. A fine BONUS on the back side are the rich coatings of tiny, scintillating, gemmy, yellow hexagonal pyromorphite crystals. This world class pyromorphite locality is famous for an amazing variety of crystal colors, shapes and habits and this is an excellent and uncommon example of this varietal. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection.
