Item Description
A really attractive little thumbnail specimen from a 700+ year old locality! Mindat says that the mine has recorded production of lead mining dating back to 1314! This piece is a nice piece of "lead ore" in the form of chocolate brown to pinkish-brown prismatic hexagonal Pyromorphite crystals measuring up to 1.6 cm. Despite a bit of damage, the piece is still attractive with lustrous faces and a unique color. How often does one have the chance to purchase a nice display specimen from a mine that operated during the middle ages?
