Item Description
This is a really unusual, colorful, specimen of pyromorphite that we would like even if it was from a common locality. But, it is an old European classic locale, in the mining district better known for fluorite by modern collectors, and is seldom seen. Emplaced on a rusty quartz matrix is a cluster of botryoidal, lustrous and translucent, green-yellow pyromorphite, in rounded clusters to 1.4 cm across. Minor peripheral contact is present but the overall appearance is unaffected. Good color and a naturally lustrous, wet-looking surface make this a beautiful piece. The locality is bonus.
