Pyromorphite

Pretty bright green, lustrous and translucent, pyromorphite prisms to about 8 mm carpet the sculptural crust on this sturdy, showy and excellent large crust from recent finds at the famous Daoping Mine. Nearly all of the multitude of crystals have hoppered terminations. Essentially pristine, with the partially hidden vug on one corner and bit of oxide coating adding character. This piece is solid pyromorphite, as the back of the crust has striking scallops. Daoping has produced extremely diverse crystal forms and this is a fine example of this varietal.
