Item Description

This rich and showy Bunker Hill pyromorphite features three distinctive types of crystallization. Edges reveal the first generation of juicy orange arsenian pyromorphite. The second generation, concentrated along one side are small vertical hexagonal barrels of honey-yellow pyromorphite. The third generation, covering most of piece, are spherical aggregates of lustrous, brown, flat-lying prisms. Very nifty variable crystal chemistry here, forming an excellent specimen from the Mervyn Ford Collection. Probably from the 1990s finds.
