Item Description

The famed Bunker Hill Mine has produced an amazing variety of pyromorphite specimens and this is a fine, large and unusual example. The sculptural, undulating crust is composed of three generations of scintillating, spherical aggregates of pyromorphite! The first generation, visible mostly on the fringes and on one spot in the interior, is composed of spherical aggregates of juicy, translucent, orange, arsenian pyromorphite prisms. Many of the orange prisms have beautiful gemmy terminations of yellow pyromorphite (second generation)! Sparkly, olive-brown prisms cover most of the piece. The periphery reveals all three generations in their glory. Excellent, large material from the Harold Urish Collection # 713 and valued at $750.
