Item Description
The Daoping Mine of China has produced a dizzying array of colorful pyromorphites and this is a fine, striking and aesthetic example. Lustrous, apple-green prisms in radial sprays densely cover the sculptural and 3-dimensional, amazingly bubbly and partially hollow gossan matrix. The scalloped, bubbly bottom is spectacular! For such incredibly dense coverage, only a trivial amount of bruising is noted. Very highly representative and very showy material from this contemporary classic locale, valued $1000-1250. These will disappear, just like fine Les Farges and Bunker Hill pieces. Every turn presents an entirely different perspective to this 360-degree specimen!
