Pyromorphite

There are only a select few localities across the globe that produce superb Pyromorphite specimens. The contemporary Daoping Mine in China is certainly recognized as one of the top localities for the species. This piece is a wonderful showy example of these world-class Pyromorphites featuring rather lustrous, strong apple green colored skeletal or "hoppered" hexagonal crystals, forming a three-dimensional group, free of matrix. Most of the crystals are pristine, save a few small imperfections where the specimen was removed from the pocket wall during the collecting process. A beautiful display specimen of this contemporary classic material.
