Item Description

The world-class Bunker Hill Mine has produced amazing Pyromorphite specimens in a wide variety of colors, crystal forms and styles. One of the immediately identifiable color and styles are the amazing botryoidal orange Pyromorphites from a one-time early 1990s find. This sparkling, lustrous, glowing orange Pyromorphite has a rich botryoidal coverage with an appealing shape and vertical relief. The distinctive orange color is due to trace amounts of arsenic, and these are therefore called Arsenian Pyromorphite among most collectors, though it is not actually a real species, just a varietal. This dazzling specimen is nearly damage free with only a small bruise found on the 1.1 cm center botryoid. This is an excellent specimen of the botryoidal orange arsenian varietal that displays with an magnificent wet luster surface. Formerly in the Marlys Robertson Collection and then in the De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock. Valued $1500-2000.
