A striking, 4.5 cm rosette of intergrown sprays of lustrous, metallic pyrolusite blades is dramatically perched atop the matrix covered with sparkly quartz points on this very fine and aesthetic combination from this obscure iron mine well-known for exceptional pyrolusite specimens. An outstanding and rare example of species and locale from the Robert Nowakowski Collection and self-collected in August,1982, according to his label. Valued at $500-700.
