Item Description

A fantastic stalactitic specimen of black Pyroslusite from the ancient Eisenkaute Mine. This locality did not produce a great deal of specimens, but historically, it did produce some really impressive iron and manganese oxides, including some of the coolest Pyrolusites I've seen from Germany. This piece has formed in wonderfully attractive botryoidal aggregates in a column / stalactitic growth. The piece comes with an old label from the collection of a Dr. W. Schmidt. A date on the label says it's from 1935! Don't miss out on this historic antique German mineral specimen.
