Item Description
Pyrochlore is an uncommon niobium oxide and this obscure Russian locale is famous for huge sharp crystals (over 1 kilogram!). This is a large lustrous brown floater crystal with good octahedral form. These came out in the 1980s, and to market in the 1990s, impressing people for the unusual size of the sharp crystals from this locale. Only one gently bruised corner is noted on this fine crystal. Ex Matioli Collection.
