Item Description

A beautifully symmetrical, highly arching, lustrous pyritized spirifer brachiopod from the Devonian of Sylvania, Ohio. This specimen has excellent bi-lateral symmetry and comes from a quarry west of Toledo. This very fine example is essentially pristine. This is also a most unusual fossil of the species and locale, as half of a valve is collapsed. Weird and nifty.
