A rarely seen and good quality, aesthetic small cabinet sized display specimen of Pyrite from the contemporary classic locality, the Shangbao Mine in China. Sharp, lustrous, metallic golden color cubic crystals of Pyrite are associated with somewhat silvery colored Quartz fee of matrix. A few crystals are contacted, but overall the piece is in great shape and really looks nice from a few angles. The largest Pyrite measures 1.6 cm on edge. Most people seek out the unique and beautiful Fluorites from Shangbao, but if you a true collector, your suite isn't complete without a good Pyrite from this prolific contemporary specimen producer.
