Item Description

Pyrite is well known in excellent display specimens from various localities in Peru, but is not typically seen in good display specimens from Pachapaqui. This is actually one of only two that I've seen from this mine, and this one came out nearly 10 years ago. It features a predominant, sharp, rather lustrous, pale golden color pyritohedron of Pyrite measuring 1.2 cm, with wonderfully bright striated faces sitting on gem quality colorless Quartz crystals and minor associated additional Pyrite crystals. This is a really showy miniature, and it's not just a Peruvian Pyrite, but it's a RARELY SEEN specimen from Pachapaqui. Valued at $500.
