Pyrite with Quartz

Item Description

Emplaced in a matrix of lustrous and gemmy, colorless, quartz crystals to 2.5 cm in length, is a cluster of cubic, splendent, brassy yellow pyrite crystals to 2 cm across. The pyrite crystals do not exhibit any growth striations which are normally present in most cubic pyrites. There are a few buises on some peipheral crystal edges but overall this is a striking specimen in pretty good shape. It was purchased at a show with the attributed mine name, which we had not seen before.
