Item Description
A good quality small cabinet display specimen from the Sombrerete Mine in Mexico featuring pyritohedral crystals of light golden, slightly iridescent crystals of Pyrite measuring up to 1.6 cm, associated with acicular "needles" of dark silvery-grey metallic Jamesonite in a few spots. We've illustrated the Jamesonites with macro photos to better show their quality. The underside of the specimen features dark brown-black massive Sphalerite. No major damage, outside of the periphery where it was removed from the pocket. A few small nicks can be seen on the Pyrites, but the piece is largely in great shape. A great rare combo specimen from this old classic locale.
