Item Description

Even though the Sweet Home mine is most famous for its Rhodochrosite specimens, it should be recognized for prodcuing some beautiful sulfies. This specimen features wonderful metallic Pyrite pyritohedra measuring up to 4 mm with good luster and sharpness. Associated modified silvery cuboctahedral Galena measure up to 3 mm along with semi-velvety black Sphalerite. The piece is an older specimen (prior to Collector's Edge mining operations), and was collected by Richard Kosnar and Dave Bergman in the late 1970s.
