Item Description

An old-time, superb association piece from the famous Groundhog Mine at Vanadium, New Mexico. This sulfide specimen is covered with mirror-bright, brass-yellow cubes of Pyrite, plus twinned golden Chalcopyrite on a scattering of porcupine-like, water-clear Quartz needles. From the collection of Harold Urish, who purchased the piece at the Silver City, New Mexico Show in October of 1992.
