Pyrite is EXTREMELY RARE from the renowned Cruzeiro Mine, one of world's great tourmaline pegmatite localities. MINDAT does not list the species. This truly exotic and sculptural two-sided sided rarity is richly covered on both sides with tiny bright pyritohedrons. Accessories really add pizzazz to this piece! First is the well-placed 2.0 cm lustrous dark olive-green tourmaline crystal plus smaller pencils scattered about. Second is the 2.3 cm patch of pearlescent cookeite plates on the right side of the piece. An incredibly rare, rich and very showy pyrite combination piece from the Matioli Collection. A MUST for the pegmatite or locality collector!
