Intensely sparkly and lustrous, intergrown, brassy pyrite octahedrons dramatically cover nodules on this impressive and sculptural large specimen from this extinct underground iron mine. Tiny calcite spikes cover much of the intervening areas on the hefty limonitic matrix and add character. Rarely available large combination material from the Robert Nowakowski Collection and valued at $300. Mass is 6.8 pounds or 3.1 kilos.
