Item Description

A choice old-time, CABINET, combination specimen from the famous mines at Park City, Utah. The 3-dimensional matrix is composed solidly of lustrous, brass-yellow, pyrite crystals. The very sharp, mirror-bright, pyritohedron on the upper left-hand corner is 2.1 cm across. Marcasite with some galena crystals cover most of the pyrites on the front of the piece. Specimens of this size and combination quality are not that common from this well-known district. Classic, old combination material. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
