Pyrites from Navajun are one of the most easily recognizeable and abundant display specimens in the world. They are highly attractive, and arguably the finest crystallized representations of the species. This showy piece features a few razor-sharp, highly lustrous, metallic pale golden color, intergrown cubes of pyrite. A modest bit of edge wear is noted, but is not visually detracting. This locality is mined almost exclusively for its pyrite crystals, which are world famous and well known among collectors. Ex Harold Urish Collection. Natural Cubist art.
