Pyrite & Tetrahedrite (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

Bright, brasssy, well-striated, pyritohedrons to 1.5 cm richly cover the sculptural mounded matrix of tetrahedrite and are well complimented by textbook tetrahedrite crystals on this choice two-sided combination specimen from this well-known extinct Utah mine. The impressive, sharp large tetrahedrite is 2.7 cm across. Classic combination material from the Bob Trimingham Collection and obtained in a trade with Gene Darter 1971. The piece is much older.
