Item Description

These beautiful, lustrous pyrite floater "suns" formed between an ancient bed of shale and clay near Sparta, Illinois. This one is complete all-around, front and back and is nearly pristine, with only an inconsequential bit of edge bruising. The radial appearance of the pyrite is very interesting and the pyrite has a flashy, chatoyant shimmer. Highly representative of this unusual occurrence. This is a choice and large specimen for the find. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
