Item Description

These beautiful, lustrous pyrite floater "suns" formed between an ancient bed of shale and clay near Sparta, Illinois. This one is complete all-around, front and back. The radial appearance of the pyrite is very interesting and the pyrite has a flashy, chatoyant shimmer. The sides have a distinctly different look, which adds to the panache of this above average piece. A partial second generation overlay of pyrite adds much character. Very highly representative of this unusual occurrence. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
