Item Description
The Huanzala Mine of Peru has arguably produced the world's finest pyrites and this specimen is an excellent example. Intergrown, striking, mirror-bright, brass-yellow, cubes comprise this sculptural specimen. The largest crystal is 2.6 cm on one edge. The textbook form and intense color and luster are top notch. A modest bit of edge wear and periphery wear is noted, but is certainly not a detraction. Classic Huanzala material, that looks great from either side! Specimens of this quality came out in the 1970s and 80s. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
